Nuclear medical protection products
Radiation protection of nuclear medicine is to protect personnel from ionizing radiation or radioactive substances and to keep the safety of radioactive sources in practice, including measures to achieve such protection and safety, such as various methods or equipment to keep the dose and risk of personnel as low as reasonably achievable and lower than the prescribed bundle value, As well as various measures to prevent accidents and mitigate the consequences of accidents.
Radiation protection measures: open radioactive substances can enter the human body through mouth, respiratory tract and skin wounds.
The key of internal radiation protection is to prevent radioactive substances from entering the body as much as possible, and to control the annual intake of radioactive substances within the limits specified by the state. The general principle of internal radiation protection is to enclose and isolate radioactive materials, prevent diffusion, decontaminate and clean, prevent pollution, pay attention to personal protection, and do a good job in radioactive waste treatment.
The external radiation mainly includes X and γ rays. The external radiation protection of β - ray is mainly to consider the influence of bremsstrahlung, and also to prevent the damage of skin surface and cornea caused by β - ray.
The three principles of external radiation protection are as follows
(1) time protection: radioactive operation should be skilled and prompt, and advanced practice should be practiced if necessary. Skilled technology should be used to minimize the time of contact with radioactive sources. Careful planning and full preparation should be made in advance to avoid unnecessary stay in radioactive workplace after work.
(2) Distance protection: for a point source, the radiation dose rate at a certain location is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the location and the radiation source, plus the absorption of air, so the farther a person leaves the radiation source, the smaller the radiation dose rate the human body receives. In the operation of radioactive materials, try to use long handle apparatus to operate, if possible, use manipulator to operate.
(3) Shielding protection: shielding is set between human body and radiation source, and different protection materials can be selected according to the type and energy of radiation. For example, the use of lead plate, steel plate or general cement wall can block X and gamma ray radiation, so that the radiation gradually attenuates and is absorbed, which is a safe and effective protective measure.
